I offer expert one to one violin tuition on the Kings Heath, Moseley, Hall Green border, in an area easily accessible by car, rail (Yardley Wood station) or bus, on a quiet road with parking.
All ages and levels are welcome.
Whether you or your child wish to work towards formal exams (I use the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) or would like to play as a hobby, I can help you achieve these ambitions.
Whatever your reason for deciding to begin or continue lessons, I encourage you to develop your own style and access different genres of music or, if you have a particular fondness for a certain type of music, we can explore that.
If you do not already read music, I will, as a matter of course, teach you to do so as this will enable you to pick out the melody of any piece of written music, even if it is unfamiliar to you.
This is very liberating and, with the wealth of genres available to buy, download etc, the world is pretty much your oyster and your choices virtually infinite.
Even after thirty odd years teaching and even longer of playing, there is always something waiting to surprise and delight me and, hopefully, you too.
Lessons take place in my dedicated music room.
I have noticed an increase in the numbers of students who have allergies, asthma and sensory difficulties in recent years. Therefore I try to keep my music room free from fragrances and potential allergens and ask that my students keep personal fragrances to a minimum to keep the space comfortable and accessible for all.
